In the beginning

Whew, here we go. I can now say, "ala Bob"

"I'm blogging! I'm a blogger! I blog! I blog!"

I think that this will be fun, if I have the time, that is.

It is getting close to bedtime, but Chuck is gone for tonight--in Munich for a Stanford Forum. Hopefully he will get home tomorrow, there was talk of a Railway strike, and he took the train. It's snowing, and even though its only November 13th I spent all afternoon with the girls putting Christmas packages together. I even broke the cardinal "don't put on the Christmas music before Thanksgiving" rule--but we are definitely in the spirit. Hopefully it won't wear off before January.

Here is a shot of our frosty November. I took this first thing in the morning in a vineyard outside of Riquewihr, in the Alsace region of France.

It turned out to be the last nice weekend we've had. The girls are all giddy with the hopes that we might actually have a white Christmas this year. Last year I only had to shovel once the whole winter. But, we have seen snow 4 times so far (although it hasn't stuck around).

Here is another frosty shot from the vineyard. I have been having a great time with photography the last few months. I have tried to catch dewy spider webs many times, but they never worked out. Turns out that a bit of frost was the missing ingredient!

This is so great. I have been blogging for about 9 months I started doing it in Houston. Now it's a way for me to stay connected to all my friends there. I hope to see more.
